Like all other locations in Lower Saxony, the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Hannover-Stocken site is undergoing an unstoppable transformation. Together with the Volkswagen components plant at the same location, new battery system components are being built for lithium-ion batteries, including the ID Buzz and its derivatives.
On February 8, 2024, our subject managers Barkin Özkaya and Olexander F. were invited to visit the area, which is still under construction
We would like to thank you very much for the invitation and the opportunity to see for ourselves how Volkswagen Group Components Hannover has evolved from a component manufacturer for combustion technology to a component manufacturer for battery and charging technology. This is a complex process that allows more vertical integration, relies on national and international partnerships and, of course, only applies to the entire workforce.
